The question came from a Matt Chmiel thread: other than Feastables, what was the last giant hit in CPG that wasn't a brand extension?
Answering it properly meant building the pipeline — an agentic loop that pulls credible breakout lists (Bain Insurgent, Numerator, Circana, Pear Commerce, Inc 5000), normalizes 2,274 brands across them, enriches each with founding year and ownership, and applies an explicit extension test.
The site is the readable answer, with the underlying datasets available to browse and play with directly in the browser.
The short version: Poppi, Olipop, and Liquid Death.
